| Umbriel is the name of a character from the satirical epic poem "The Rape of the Lock" by Alexander Pope written back in the 18th century. In the poem, Umbriel is the evil gnome that facilitates the passage of Belinda's severed lock of hair (the object of satire) into the underworld... thusly ensuring her eternal misery. I suggest you read the poem its a great work of literature. Photography has been pursued by members of my family for generations. Art has always been a major staple for myself and the family. It helps when I am able to seek the opinions of family members (notably my father) for their insight and feedback. Photography is a journey for me and the experiences and experimentations along the way are an exciting way for me to share my view of the world. I am on DA in order to share this experience with others. I'm really bored right now so that's really the only reason I'm writing this. |
